I started my zine, Gunshot Glitter in 2022. This has allowed me to interview and review local, and touring bands. I also created two physical zines.

In 2024, I started a podcast called "Message From Home" with my co-host Nina DeFelice. We have interviewed people working in the local Glasgow music scene. So far, we have released 8 episodes.

In 2025, I started writing for Clash Magazine.

Next Wave #1160: Erin LeCount | Next Wave | Clash Magazine Music News, Reviews & Interviews

On a muggy mid-week morning, Erin LeCount answered a call in a shed adorned with fake sunflowers and draping curtains. “It’s falling apart. The flowers are to stop the sap from the wood!” she proclaims. As LeCount is a self-proclaimed Essex girl, we dove straight into her identity. “I bleach the shit out of my hair,” she reflects on her roots. “I had such a strong Essex accent… As I sang more I was almost trained out of it, which I feel sad about. I used to tell everyone I was from London.” When...

A stir of punters waiting to see Blondshell, ranging from teens, 20-somethings, cuffed chino millennials, and Radio 6 Dads, queued at the doors of the Queen Margaret Union, a display of 60s-era Brutalist architecture in the heart of Glasgow’s west end student hub. I tried to ignore this dizzy feeling, knowing I would be interviewing a band that my sister had introduced to me a year prior. With lyrics like “You are the sun in the sky, wake up and miss most of you as you dip behind the tree line.” There’s bittersweet angst in their music, which drew me to catch them in Glasgow.I arrived at the Classic Grand with my heart in my mouth. Making my way up the sticky...
